Poster Instructions

The IJCAI technical program consists of both oral presentations and poster presentations.  All authors are invited to present posters to further explain their work during the half day of the presentations. Poster presenters are required to put up their posters at the beginning of each half day of their oral presentation (so e.g., if an oral presentation is on Tuesday morning, the poster is also scheduled on Tuesday morning).  They are also required to be present during the breaks to explain the contents of their posters.

The size of the available panels will be A0 size in vertical format (1189 mm in height x 841 mm in width).

All posters will be exhibited for half a day in each morning or afternoon in which the corresponding oral presentation is given. Authors can find the presentation time, session info and poster "Panel ID" in the online schedule at Paper Schedule.  Thee Panel ID is a number pasted on the poster board to indicate the location where the posters are presented. Authors are required to be present during breaks at their poster stands. Tape and other material to help authors with their posters will be made available by the local committee.

For morning sessions, authors are required to mount their posters between 8:00 and 9:30 and unmount their posters at 12:30.  For afternoon sessions, authors shall mount their posters between 13:30 and 15:00 and unmount them at 19:30. The IJCAI program committee will unmount all remaining posters after 30 minutes of the given time.  Unmounted posters can be picked up at the Conference Desk after the poster sessions.

For your convenience, the local committee has found a few local printing shops that can help you print your posters onsite in Buenos Aires.  They also take email orders and have pick up services:

speechPlease note that IJCAI-15 has two types of oral presentations: Long and Short.  The information on Long and Short is available in the last column of the Paper Schedule.
"Long presentations" are allocated 20 minutes of talk time including Q&A, and “short presentations” are allocated 10 minutes of talk time including Q&A.  For both long and short presentations, it is important to present the high-level pictures of one’s contributions in each session.  It is recommended that presenters leave two minutes for one or two questions at the end of their presentations, and then answer the rest of their questions at the posters during the breaks.
